No Smoking Day
Brand Development & Graphic Design
For over 12 years we have developed design concepts to brand No Smoking Day campaigns and rollout versions of the Event for the four Nations – England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Up to 750,000 people get involved every year making it one of the UK’s biggest annual health awareness events.
When we started working on the national campaigns, over 40% of adult men in UK smoked. Today less than 17% of adults have still to quit – statistics of real people, living healthier, longer lives. British Heart Foundation gets behind it by highlighting the many sources of help and advice available.
Here is a taster of some of our work.

What we did
Brand Development & Graphic Design
Our designs were built around feedback from nationwide research and focus groups. The underlying message is one of helping smokers who want to quit with resources that simply direct people where to get help.
Material to raise awareness of the Event was also crafted in 18 languages and unique outdoor promotions were produced for local authorities across the UK. We designed resources for Military events with version for The Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.

What's in a cigarette?
Our animated gif is designed to inform the public that a cigarette is much more than tobacco wrapped in paper. The cocktail of chemicals in cigarette smoke comes from different sources when a cigarette is made and used. Some chemicals are found naturally in the tobacco plant, such as addictive nicotine, and some are absorbed by the plant from the soil, air or fertilisers.
